Designate of the Word ‘Dog’ Is an Object of Which Truthfully Could Be Said That It is a Dog 2.0, 30 min long online experience, lvl design, 2018.

The project was an attempt to transfer a photographic installation made in 2015 (︎︎︎) to the online environment. A digital object was created in lvl design technology, which allowed the user to move/navigate through it like in a computer game.The viewer was able to discover hidden layers of the file only by mistakenly, falling off the carpet.

The structure of this digital carpet references the concept of tautology. In logic, a tautology (from the Greek ταυτολογία) is a statement that is universally true. Using a program to edit the hexadecimal code of a digital image file, I modified its structure and embedded selected phrases, including the Wikipedia definition of a floor carpet. This process created an image rich in layered meanings, where the textual interventions altered its visual composition. Much like Persian rug makers who wove deliberate imperfections to reflect human fallibility before God, these transformations echo the interplay between error and intention in digital craftsmanship.
