Faustine’s Diary, 16 blue pages printed as a diary hidden inside the art book, part of my my contribution to Vacant Dream State, 2019.
During the Artist Retreat with 280a on the secret island, I decided to look for evidences of images being part of the island's organic environment. In preparation for the journey, we were asked to read The Invention of Morel. I became fascinated with the female character named Faustine. She seemed to me a metaphor of a copy which is so perfect that people immediately fall in love with it. For the Vacant Dream State publication, I wrote a story of the island from the perspective of Faustine.
