FAUSTINE’S DIARY

My contribution to the Vacant Dream State photobook created in 2019, was a 16-page blue diary hidden within the book.
During the artist retreat with 280a Artist Association on a secluded island, I explored how digital images could be part of the island’s natural environment. Before the retreat, we were asked to read The Invention of Morel,  a novel by Argentine writer Adolfo Bioy Casares, and I was drawn to the character Faustine. To me, she symbolised a perfect copy that everyone falls in love with. For the Vacant Dream State publication, I wrote a story about the island from Faustine’s perspective.
