For this project, I explored the concept of digital photography within a posthuman context. Drawing inspiration from Rosi Braidotti's The Posthuman, I developed a series of photographs that reimagine the narrative surrounding digital images on the internet.
The publication is the result of a 10-day artist retreat held in the French town of Cassis, featuring eight international artists from our collective. Centred on the theme of sentimentality and emotionality, SENTIMENTAL DEFENSE invites a return to intuitive feeling, whether in art, society, or even within ourselves. This project provided the artists with the opportunity to create new material that engages deeply with the complexities of emotion and its role in contemporary discourse.
